Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete – A Guide to the New Paid App and Its Features

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete is a new, paid mobile application released on 2 December 2024, serving as a replacement for the original free-to-play Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp app. The original app's online services were discontinued on 28 November 2024. Unlike its predecessor, Pocket Camp Complete does not require an internet connection to play and is available for purchase on the App Store for iOS/iPadOS and Google Play for Android. The app is priced at US$19.99, following an introductory price of US$9.99 that was available until 31 January 2025.

The new application is designed to provide a complete package of previously released content without the need for additional in-game purchases. It allows for the transfer of save data from the original app, with a deadline for transfer set for 1 June 2025. Most player data and items can be transferred, though certain items such as Leaf Tickets, gifts, and cookies are not transferable. Friends from the original app who have played within 30 days of the transfer are converted into a new feature called Camper Cards.

Key gameplay features remain similar to the original app, including the ability to decorate a campsite with over 10,000 items, interact with animal characters, and participate in activities like fishing, bug catching, and fruit gathering. Seasonal events, such as Garden Events and Fishing Tourneys, continue to be a part of the experience. In these events, players can earn a new currency called Complete Tickets, which can be used to purchase previously available fortune cookies.

A significant change from the original app is the removal of in-app purchases and the replacement of the Leaf Tickets currency with Leaf Tokens. Leaf Tokens are described as being available in a much more generous supply. For example, players can receive up to 950 Leaf Tokens during the first seasonal event, and 100 Leaf Tokens can be exchanged monthly for 50,000 Bells. Previously paid items that cost Leaf Tickets are now available for a low cost in Leaf Tokens; for instance, a pack of five fortune cookies costs 25 Leaf Tokens.

Several features from the original app's Pocket Camp Club subscription service have been removed in Pocket Camp Complete. These include the Fave Photo/Album, Pocket Camp Club Journal, planner step count stickers, the shortening of craft time, stamps, seasonal-event rewards from the Merry Memories Plan, camp caretaker history, and members-only discounted items. Additionally, My Nintendo missions and rewards for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp are not available in Pocket Camp Complete.

A new feature introduced is Camper Cards. Each player can create a Camper Card featuring an image of their character with their camp caretaker. These cards display the player's name and level and include a QR code for sharing with other players. A new area called Whistle Pass has been added, where K.K. Slider performs nightly. Players can meet friends added via Camper Cards in Whistle Pass and can ask for help in the Shovelstrike Quarry. Players can also receive gifts from friends in this area, which may contain Bells, snacks, perfect fruit, or villager stickers.
